Starting with the living room, this project brings together rich colour, natural oak and carefully considered joinery around a decommissioned fireplace to create a warm and inviting living space. A full-height acoustic panelled timber media wall provides a strong focal point, incorporating the TV and floating drawer unit while adding texture and depth.

Deep sage green walls and open shelving create an area for a curated collection of objects, softened by the natural light from the bay window. The result is a relaxed, characterful space that feels both practical and thoughtfully designed.

Out into the garden and subtle improvements to the space rather than a full overhaul. What was a single expanse of lawn has been reworked into two distinct zones — a new paved base for a large timber shed, and a softer seating area finished with a simple timber planter and an oversized parasol.

The existing trees and a strip of lawn between the two were retained to keep the garden feeling established, with planting layered around the seating area to create a cocooned, private spot to sit outside when the British weather delivers.
