As a coffee lover, including a café scene was a personal portfolio requirement. The textures on every element were extensively explored. The subtle sheen and bump to the painted walls - visibly stronger on the back of the arched shelving alcove where it would have received a few knocks from the antique tableware - adds to the age of the room.

The rustic sanded-then-hand-painted look to the cabinetry, the glossy reflections to the burled wood chairs and table, the weathered timber window frame. No painting is hung perfectly straight and the pottery on the cabinet is organised chaos.
